The game uses a side-scrolling perspective in which the player pilots Vic Viper through enemy formations, environmental hazards, and boss encounters. Destroying special enemies releases option capsules that fill the power meter, letting players activate upgrades in sequence: speed, missiles, double, laser, option, and shield. Progress is checkpoint-based, so surviving difficult sections often depends on memorizing patterns, managing speed levels, and preserving enough firepower after death. Each stage mixes heavy fire, terrain navigation, and set-piece bosses.

Vic Viper

The player’s signature fighter craft and the series’ iconic main ship.

Gofer

The name of the new weapon system and central threat posed by the Bacterion Empire.

Keep your speed at a comfortable level first, then build offensive power and shield coverage. Because respawns can be punishing, avoid spending all capsules on raw damage if you still need mobility. Learn where threatening enemies spawn, especially in narrow corridors and force-scrolling sections. Against bosses, focus on removing dangerous components early and stay in safe lanes rather than chasing risky damage.
