Gradius Advance

Players pilot the iconic Vic Viper through side-scrolling stages filled with enemy waves, terrain hazards, and large bosses. Defeated enemies drop capsules that fill the power meter, letting you activate speed, double, missile, laser, and shield upgrades in a fixed order. The game also includes four weapon edit modes, allowing players to preconfigure different upgrade routes. Losing all power-ups greatly reduces survivability, so route planning is important.
