Cotton flies from left to right through a sequence of horizontally scrolling stages. The objective is to destroy enemies, avoid projectiles and terrain, collect power-ups, and reach each stage boss. Cotton can fire repeatedly, use stronger magic attacks, and improve her attack pattern by collecting the appropriate items. The game is structured as a single-player arcade campaign with several themed stages and boss encounters. Positioning matters because enemies enter from multiple heights while the screen scrolls continuously. Losing a life reduces momentum, so preserving power-ups and learning boss attack patterns are central to progression.
