Final Fantasy

At the beginning, players create a four-member party by choosing character classes, then gain experience and gil through battles. Combat is menu-driven and turn-based, with commands such as attack, magic, and items resolving according to battle order. Progression revolves around crystal-related objectives, dungeon clears, vehicles like the airship, and a later class upgrade that strengthens the party for the second half of the journey.

A balanced opening party works best, ideally with a durable front-line fighter and both white and black magic support. Early on, spend money on healing items and basic armor before chasing expensive weapons. While exploring dungeons, save valuable spell charges for bosses and focus fire dangerous enemies to reduce incoming damage. After the class upgrade, revisit shops for stronger gear and spells, since the late-game dungeons become much more demanding.
