The game is a single-player stage-based shooter with six stages that alternate between side-scrolling and top-down perspectives. Horizontal stages focus on moving through enemy formations while avoiding fire and terrain hazards, while vertical stages emphasize forward progression, dodging bullets, and reacting to enemies appearing from multiple directions. Players collect power-ups to change the ship's weapon loadout, and different weapons suit different stage layouts and enemy types. Each stage ends with a boss fight before advancing to the next area.

Learn the strengths of each weapon and switch according to the stage layout. Wide-area weapons are useful for crowd control, while high-damage options work better against armored targets and bosses. In horizontal stages, clear turrets and persistent hazards early; in vertical stages, keep your attention near the upper half of the screen to anticipate spawns. Saving strong weapons for boss encounters usually makes progression much safer.
