Vampire Hunter: Darkstalkers' Revenge is Capcom's 1995 arcade fighting game and a major sequel in the Darkstalkers series. Blending gothic horror with anime-inspired character design, it refines the series' fast-paced combat and signature air-combo system. Its roster of vampires, beasts, and demons, along with stylish presentation and responsive controls, made it one of the most fondly remembered arcade fighters of the 1990s.

This 2D one-on-one fighter uses a side-view arcade format with movement, jumping, blocking, throws, and light/heavy attacks mapped to standard controls. The game emphasizes air combos, rushdown pressure, and quick conversions from jumps or special moves into longer strings. Players can clear an arcade ladder, face mid-boss and boss encounters, and unlock ending sequences through character-based progression.

Demitri Maximoff

A proud vampire noble who specializes in mid-range pressure and life-draining attacks.

Felicia

A cat-woman fighter with excellent mobility and fast aerial harassment.

Jon Talbain

A werewolf martial artist built around speed, mobility, and relentless offense.

Sasquatch

A giant snowman-like powerhouse with heavy strikes and strong zoning tools.

Morrigan Aensland

A succubus with strong air mobility, flight-based pressure, and tricky offense.

Donovan Baine

A half-human exorcist who mixes sword techniques with holy attacks.

Learn each character's jump arc, landing timing, and best close-range confirm. In matches, use movement and air defense to break the opponent's rhythm instead of relying on one obvious special move. Fast characters are best controlled with grounded pokes and anti-air timing, while heavy characters should be baited into whiffs before you punish.

Tips

Practice air-combo timing, since much of a character's damage comes from jump-in conversions.

Tips

Avoid repeating the same special move too often because the arcade AI adapts quickly.

Tips

Use block-and-punish windows after unsafe attacks, especially when opponents land or recover from specials.
