Sonic the Hedgehog

The game uses a side-scrolling perspective with run, jump, and spin attack controls. Sonic can destroy enemies by curling into a ball, build momentum on slopes, and bounce through springs and loop-like stage elements. Collecting rings protects against damage once, while losing all rings leaves him vulnerable. Each zone is split into acts and ends with a boss fight. Special stages are entered by reaching the goal ring with enough rings, allowing players to earn the Chaos Emeralds.

In boss fights, wait for the opening pattern and attack during the recovery window.
