Haunted Castle

The game uses a side-scrolling stage structure in which Simon advances through castles, graveyards, and underground areas while fighting enemies and avoiding traps and pits. The main weapon is the whip, and smashing candles grants hearts, weapons, and items that power sub-weapons such as axes, holy water, and crosses. Movement is weighty and jump timing is strict, with boss battles at the end of many stages.

Learn enemy spawn points and jump timing before rushing forward. Keep enemies at whip range whenever possible to avoid getting crowded, and save sub-weapons for dangerous foes or boss phases. Collect hearts from candles to maintain weapon usage, and stay cautious on narrow platforms where knockback can send you into pits.
