Players choose a historical scenario and control a ruler or warlord, managing cities, officers, farming, recruitment, diplomacy, and war. The game uses a strategic map with turn-based decision phases for domestic policy and military operations. Officers have individual attributes that affect loyalty, intelligence, force, and other duties. Battles involve positioning troops, issuing commands, and exploiting terrain and supply lines. Progress is measured through territorial expansion, court management, and unification of China.

Liu Bei

A major warlord and later founder of Shu, often used in scenarios as a diplomatic and expansion-focused ruler.

Cao Cao

A powerful northern strategist and central political figure with strong administrative and military potential.

Sun Quan

Leader of the Jiangdong forces, representing the Eastern Wu faction with strong regional control.

Zhuge Liang

A celebrated strategist whose high intelligence makes him one of the most valuable officers in the game.

Prioritize stable income and officer loyalty before overextending in war. Use high-intelligence officers for diplomacy, domestic management, and intelligence work, while placing strong force leaders at the front lines. Secure food supplies and avoid campaigns that leave cities undefended. Recruiting talented officers and improving key cities early usually makes later offensives much easier. Terrain and supply pressure matter greatly, so do not attack without a clear logistical advantage.
