The game uses an overhead grid-based tactical combat system. Before each battle, players organize party members, equip weapons and items, and prepare for terrain advantages and class promotions. On the battlefield, units move and attack according to their stats, weapon range, and positioning, with some scenarios emphasizing objectives such as defeating key enemies or protecting allies. Between battles, story scenes advance the plot and may branch based on choices, affecting later events and endings. Progression centers on leveling, promotion, and acquiring better gear through combat and story progression.

Keep mobile units near the front to exploit flanking and terrain bonuses, while placing fragile mages and support units behind protective lines. Promote key characters as soon as their growth rates and equipment options justify it, and distribute upgraded gear to units with the best class compatibility. In harder maps, prioritize enemy leaders and reinforcement points to reduce pressure. Save recovery items for long scenario chains, and watch dialogue choices because some routes and endings depend on earlier decisions.

• Use terrain bonuses on mountains, forests, and defensive tiles whenever possible.
• Promote core units early if the scenario difficulty starts to outpace their base class.
