Punch-Out!!

The player controls a green-haired boxer viewed from behind while facing a lineup of increasingly difficult opponents. Core actions include punching, dodging, and blocking, with success depending on recognizing each rival's wind-up and answering with the correct defensive move before counterattacking. The upper monitor displays status information such as rounds and stamina, while the lower monitor shows the match itself. As the game progresses, opponents become faster, stronger, and less predictable, pushing players to learn patterns and improve timing.

Consistency and pattern recognition are more important than aggression.
