Mega Man

The game uses a side-scrolling platform format with freely selectable stages followed by Dr. Wily's fortress. Mega Man can jump, shoot, and acquire a new special weapon after defeating each Robot Master. Stage hazards, moving platforms, pits, and enemy patterns require careful timing and movement. Progress is saved through stage completion within a single playthrough; after defeat, players restart the current stage with the same overall stage order choice.

Learn the weakness chart and choose a stage order that gives you the most useful weapons early. Save weapon energy for sections where the special weapon clearly improves safety or speed. In Dr. Wily's fortress, conserve health by avoiding risky jumps and prioritize pattern learning over aggressive damage. When fighting bosses, keep movement controlled and use openings rather than standing still to trade hits.
