Battletoads & Double Dragon: The Ultimate Team

The game plays as a side-scrolling beat 'em up with a roster of five selectable characters. Each fighter has different speed, jump control, and special techniques, which makes character choice matter. Stages mix standard brawling with platforming, vehicle segments, and occasional forced-scrolling action. Players progress by defeating waves of enemies and stage bosses, with checkpoints used to continue after failure.

Use throws and position control to prevent enemies from surrounding you. Against groups, stay near the edge of the screen and pick targets off one by one. Jump attacks are often safer than standing exchanges, especially with faster enemies. Save health for platforming and forced-scrolling sections, where mistakes are punished more heavily.

Tips and tricks

• Pick a character that matches the stage type: agile for movement-heavy sections, strong for tougher fights.
• Learn boss wind-ups before committing to attacks.
• Do not waste health early; later stages can be much more demanding.
