Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends

The game opens with a set of coloring book pages featuring characters from the TV series. The main portion is divided into three modes. In Game mode, Sir Topham Hatt gives delivery tasks, such as locating a mine car, log car, or passenger car and bringing it to a designated station. Finishing quickly improves the score. Race mode pits the player against another train in a straight competitive run. Explore mode lets the player drive freely along the tracks with no objective. Difficulty can be selected from easy, medium, and hard, and movement is centered on basic train steering, acceleration, and stopping.

Use Explore mode first to learn track layouts, junctions, and station locations before tackling objective runs. In Game mode, plan your route early so you avoid unnecessary reversing or dead ends. In Race mode, steady control matters more than reckless speed, especially around turns. Starting on easy difficulty is recommended for younger players or first-time users.
