Strider 2

The game uses side-scrolling stage progression with a strong emphasis on mobility. Hiryu can run, jump, crouch, cling to walls and ceilings, and attack with his plasma cipher. He also has slides, aerial slashes, charged attacks, and special techniques that help deal with different enemy patterns and environmental hazards. Stages are mostly linear but include traps, alternate paths, and boss encounters that reward fast reactions and smart positioning. Progress depends on mastering movement timing and reading attack openings.

Grandmaster Meio

The central antagonist whose military force and mechanized army drive the conflict of the game.

Learn to use wall and ceiling movement early, since many threats become much safer when approached from above or from unusual angles. Against regular enemies, stay mobile and chain attacks while advancing instead of trading hits in place. Bosses usually follow readable patterns, so watch one cycle first and punish during recovery with jump slashes or charged strikes. In trap-heavy sections, memorizing enemy placement and landing spots is often more important than simply rushing forward.

• Wall-clinging is one of the safest ways to avoid frontal attacks and reposition quickly.
• Jump slashes are effective against many standard enemies while keeping your momentum.
• Do not overcommit during boss fights; one clean opening is usually better than taking damage for extra hits.
