Galaga: Demons of Death

The game uses a fixed-screen shooter format. The player controls a starfighter along the bottom of the screen, moving left and right while firing upward. Enemy waves enter in formations, then break off for dive attacks or capture attempts. Rescuing a captured ship lets it rejoin your fighter as a dual ship, boosting firepower but also increasing your hit area. Progress is built around repeating attack waves and the iconic Challenging Stage bonus rounds, where enemies do not fire and scoring depends on precise timing and aim.

Focus on the most dangerous dive attackers first so formations do not break you apart. Rescue a captured ship when you have a safe opening, but remember the dual ship is more vulnerable to wide attacks. In bonus stages, learn the enemy patterns and shoot ahead of their movement. Stay calm and make small horizontal adjustments instead of chasing every target.
