The game uses a 2D side-view one-on-one fighting format with three-round matches. Players choose from 20 historical and original characters and select one of three styles at the start: Power, Speed, or Expert. In neutral, rely on safe pokes, jump-in confirms, and throws only when the opponent is locked down. Against grapplers, keep space and punish approach attempts; against fast rushdown characters, defend patiently and counter after unsafe strings. Save super specials for confirmed openings or forced recovery situations.
