The game is a 2D one-on-one fighter viewed from the side. Players choose from a roster of unique combatants and battle through a series of opponents using punches, kicks, throws, and special moves. Beyond standard matches, Death Match stages introduce hazards such as spikes, fire, and other environmental dangers, forcing players to fight while managing spacing and stage position. Progress advances through the arcade ladder until the final boss encounter.

Learn a reliable basic combo and confirm into specials before attempting riskier offense. In Death Match stages, treat the hazards as part of the neutral game and try to push opponents toward danger while keeping yourself away from the edges. Because movement and jump timing matter a lot, practice anti-air reactions, safe landings, and throw timing. If your character has strong pokes, use them to control space first and then punish mistakes.
