Wonder Boy III: The Dragon's Trap

The game uses a side-scrolling view with free-form backtracking across towns, caves, deserts, and castles. Players fight enemies, earn gold, and buy gear while gradually gaining new forms such as Lizard-Man, Mouse-Man, and Fish-Man. If progress stalls, the answer is usually hidden in a previously visited map segment that can now be reached with a new form. Save gold for defensive improvements and recovery items.
