Use throws against sturdier enemies whenever possible, since they are often safer and more efficient than repeated basic combos. If enemies begin to surround you, stop overcommitting and use jump kicks to escape. Donatello's range makes him useful for space control, while Raphael suits a more aggressive style. During boss fights, wait for attack openings instead of rushing blindly, and in co-op try to spread out to avoid being trapped from both sides.
