Street Fighter

The game uses a 2D side-view fighting perspective and can be played solo or head-to-head. Matches are typically best-of-three rounds, with two round wins needed to advance. In single-player mode, Ryu travels through a sequence of international challengers, and continues allow rematches after defeat.

Because the input window is strict, start by practicing basic motions before relying on special moves in serious matches. Against CPU opponents, jumping attacks are effective for closing distance, followed by heavy normals to maintain pressure. Versus long-range fighters like Sagat, avoid reckless jumps and stay at mid-range until you see an opening. The timer is short, so if you gain a life lead, patient defense can secure the round.

Tips and tricks

• Different arcade cabinet button setups can affect timing, so adjust to the machine first.
• For more reliable special moves, complete the motion cleanly rather than rushing the input.
• Jumping attacks are strong against the CPU, but overusing them can still get punished.
