Avoid jumping recklessly, since opponents can punish predictable aerial approaches with anti-air attacks. Use pokes at mid-range, confirm hits before committing to special moves, and stay patient on defense. Against aggressive enemies, blocking first and punishing recovery is often safer than trying to interrupt every attack.
