Pokémon Platinum Version

The game uses a top-down overworld and turn-based Pokémon battles. Players explore towns, routes, caves, and special facilities while capturing Pokémon in tall grass, by fishing, and through scripted encounters. A party of up to six Pokémon is managed through leveling, evolution, items, and move teaching. Platinum adds revised story beats and the Distortion World, with some progression routes and encounters changed from Diamond and Pearl.

Level up before major Gym battles and carry healing items, status cures, and a fast lead Pokémon for tough trainer fights. In the Distortion World, pay close attention to the shifting layout and movable puzzle elements, as the route often changes as you progress.
