PSI roles matter a lot, so make sure healers and support characters always have enough PP and recovery items. Talk to NPCs often and inspect suspicious objects, since many progression clues are hidden in ordinary-looking places. Against enemies with rolling HP, quick healing can still turn a losing battle around.
