Jr. Pac-Man is an arcade sequel developed and published by Bally Midway as part of the Pac-Man series. It keeps the familiar maze-chase formula but expands it with larger horizontally scrolling mazes, more obstacles, and a faster overall pace. Players control Pac-Man's son through crowded stages filled with ghosts and power items, and the game is remembered for its tougher difficulty and its bold scrolling-screen design.

The game uses a top-down maze view with continuous horizontal scrolling across oversized stages. The objective is to eat every dot in the current maze while avoiding ghosts and navigating obstacles. A special Super Dot temporarily shifts the balance in the player's favor, allowing the ghosts to be slowed or chased away. Controls are simple directional inputs, but the scrolling layout and tighter escape routes make movement planning essential. Progress is made by clearing each maze and advancing to faster rounds.

Jr. Pac-Man

The player character, Pac-Man's son, navigating the scrolling maze.

Blinky

The red ghost, often leading direct chases.

Pinky

The pink ghost, known for flank pressure and intercepting routes.

Inky

The blue ghost, more unpredictable in its pursuit pattern.

Sue

The orange ghost, adding another layer of pursuit pressure.

Learn the safe turns and junctions in each scrolling section so you are not trapped when the screen shifts. Save Super Dot pickups for moments when ghosts are grouped together, since that creates the best opening for clearing dots. Try to move in loops instead of making frequent reversals, because the larger maze can punish inefficient routes. When a chase starts, head for open space rather than narrow dead ends.
