Interpose

The game uses a vertical scrolling shooter structure with a fixed forward flight path and six stages set in cities, caverns, fortresses, and orbital facilities. Before each run, players select one of three pilots with distinct handling characteristics. Combat revolves around three weapon families: standard shots, lasers, and homing attacks. Wingmen can be attached for concentrated fire or separated to widen coverage and improve protection. Progress is stage-based, with score and survival tied to efficient movement, weapon choice, and enemy pattern recognition.

Stay near the center of the screen so you have room to dodge from both sides. Use the wingman dock/undock system according to the stage layout: keep them attached for boss damage and separate them in crowded sections for safer coverage. Save homing fire for enemies that spawn off-angle or in formations, and switch to laser or standard shots when bosses expose weak points. Learning enemy wave timing is key because stage routes are short but dense.

Tips and tricks

• Choose the pilot whose shot pattern best matches your reflexes; the game is easier when your weapon covers the lanes you naturally track.
• Use Tate mode if your setup allows it, as the vertical layout makes enemy spacing and bullet lanes easier to read.
• On bosses, focus on survival first and only commit to aggressive wingman positioning when you know the pattern cycle.
