In The Hunt

The game uses a horizontal scrolling perspective. Players steer a submarine forward while adjusting vertical position to dive or rise, firing a main gun and secondary missiles. Stages move through trenches, harbors, open seas, and fortified bases, with threats attacking from the water, surface, and air. Weapon power-ups expand damage output and coverage. Each stage ends with a large boss encounter that demands pattern recognition, careful positioning, and consistent fire in cramped spaces.

Stay near the lower-middle part of the screen when possible so you can react to both surface threats and incoming fire ahead. Adjust your depth to line up shots on ships and aircraft instead of forcing risky movement. In tighter areas, destroy mines and fixed turrets first before pushing forward. Boss fights are easier if you learn attack cycles and preserve safe movement space rather than chasing maximum damage at close range. Protecting weapon power is crucial, since recovery after death is much harder with a weaker loadout.
