The game is mainly controlled with the stylus. Players choose clothing shapes, patterns, colors, and accessories to build complete fashion lines. After designing garments, they also prepare hairstyles, makeup, and model presentation for catwalk events and portfolio photo sessions. Progress unlocks more design options and presentation elements, and creations can be shared with other Nintendo DS systems through local wireless features.
