Illusion of Gaia

The game blends top-down and side-view exploration with combat, puzzle solving, and light platforming. Will attacks with a basic weapon and gradually gains psychic powers, while later forms add new combat and traversal options. Progress is driven by moving through interconnected areas, talking to NPCs, finding key items, and triggering story events. Many stages feature switches, moving blocks, traps, and environmental hazards, so observation is as important as fighting.

Will

The main protagonist who awakens psychic powers and becomes central to the world-spanning mystery.

Kara

An important supporting character tied closely to the story’s emotional and narrative progression.

Lance

A companion who assists Will during key parts of the adventure.

Oasis

A significant figure connected to the ancient secrets driving the plot.

Pay close attention to NPC dialogue and environment details, since hints often point to the next objective. Use hit-and-move tactics in combat instead of trading blows, especially in narrow rooms. When new forms or abilities become available, revisit earlier areas if you suspect hidden routes or optional items. Keep a steady supply of healing items before entering long dungeon stretches.

Tips and tricks

• Check corners and suspicious walls carefully; important items are often hidden off the main path.
• Clear ranged enemies first whenever space is limited.
• Before saving, make sure you have exhausted the current area’s dialogue and exploration clues.
