Learn to use plane switching constantly, since many enemy throws and rush attacks can be avoided by changing lanes. In crowd fights, pull enemies onto the same plane before using area attacks to avoid being surrounded. Throws and corner pressure are very effective for creating openings, while bosses are best handled by watching startup animations and punishing recovery windows. Building levels and stats early helps a lot with late-game consistency.
