Learn each character’s normal move ranges and special move inputs before attempting long combos. Against the CPU, solid blocking and punish play are usually safer than constant rushing. Mid-range control is important versus aerial or highly mobile opponents, and quick advancing specials can interrupt startup animations. Consistent anti-air timing helps keep pressure under control.
