Matches are played from a diagonal top-down court view, with the player controlling team offense and defense. You can pass, shoot, drive to the basket, steal, and switch defenders as possession changes. The game emphasizes rebounding, fast breaks, and timing on jump shots and layups. After certain dunks, brief cinematic cutscenes play to highlight the action. Single-player modes pit you against the computer using one of four international teams.
