Darius

The game uses a horizontal scrolling viewpoint, with the player steering the Silver Hawk left and right, weaving vertically, and firing continuously. Stages are divided into alphabetically named zones, and route choices branch the progression into different future stages and bosses. Power-ups improve firepower, bombs, and defensive options. Clearing each zone boss advances the route, and the selected path affects overall difficulty and stage order.

Stay near the lower-middle area of the screen so you always have room to dodge. Choose easier routes on your first runs to learn boss patterns and stage layouts. After collecting weapon upgrades, focus on keeping your firepower stable instead of taking risky items. Against bosses, watch the attack loop and look for safe angles to maintain damage.

Tips and tricks

• Branching routes change the later stages, so pick paths that match your current power level.
• Large bosses are easier once you learn their attack cycles and weak-point openings.
• Keep at least one escape lane open; avoid getting trapped in a corner.
