The game uses a single-screen overhead view. Three missile bases and six cities sit along the bottom of the screen. Using a trackball to move the cursor, the player launches interceptors from the nearest available base. Each interceptor creates a circular blast that can destroy multiple enemy missiles if timed well. Later waves add faster projectiles, splitting warheads, and heavier attack patterns. Bonus points are awarded for surviving cities and unused missiles between rounds.
Protect the center cities and the middle base first, since they give the best coverage across the screen. Aim ahead of incoming missiles instead of at the warheads themselves so the blast catches them on the way down. Destroy splitting missiles early before they release multiple threats near the ground. Conserve shots from side bases when possible and rely on the center base as your main defense. Sometimes sacrificing one doomed target is better than losing a whole cluster of cities.
