Worms

The game uses a side-view battlefield and turn-based control, with each worm moving, jumping, aiming, and attacking in sequence. Terrain can be blasted apart, so positioning, elevation, wind, and fall damage all matter. Players act within a limited time each turn, choosing from a weapon arsenal and movement options to eliminate the enemy team or complete match objectives. When a worm's health reaches zero, it dies; the last surviving team wins.

The Worm Team

The player-controlled combat unit, a group of named worms that take turns acting and using weapons.

Learn weapon arcs and wind effects early, since grenades, bazookas, and explosives are strongest when terrain is tight. Use high ground and cover whenever possible, and avoid exposing worms on open ledges. Plan movement carefully to reduce fall damage, and use jumps or teleport-style movement to escape danger quickly when needed.

Tips and tricks

• Save powerful weapons for clustered enemies.
• Explosions near cliff edges can be more effective than direct hits.
• Keep an eye on the timer so you do not rush your aim at the last second.
