Top Hunter: Roddy & Cathy

The game uses a side-scrolling perspective and can be played solo or with two players cooperatively. Roddy and Cathy can jump, punch, grab enemies, and throw them into other targets. A key mechanic lets players shift between two depth planes, useful for dodging attacks or taking safer routes through stages. Progression is stage-based, with platforming sections, environmental hazards, enemy waves, and boss fights requiring timing and spacing more than complex controls.

Roddy

One of the two playable bounty hunters, focused on close-range combat and stage progression.

Cathy

The second playable bounty hunter and Roddy's partner, selectable in single-player or co-op.

Learn to use lane switching early, since many enemy attacks only cover one plane and can be avoided cleanly. Grabs and throws are excellent crowd-control tools, especially when enemies cluster near ledges or narrow platforms. Against bosses, avoid overcommitting to attacks; wait for openings after their main patterns. In co-op, splitting roles between crowd control and direct damage makes later stages much safer.
