In multiplayer, spread out slightly so one group of enemies cannot trap everyone at once. When surrounded, use jump attacks to escape before restarting pressure. Save health-costing special moves for emergencies rather than routine damage. Long-range characters work well in front-line control, while stronger close fighters can pressure enemies as they stand up. During boss fights, watch for startup animations and dodge linear attacks with movement and jumps.
