Tales of Eternia

The game blends town exploration, dungeon crawling, and real-time battles. Players move through an overworld and story-driven locations, talk to NPCs, accept side activities, and progress through dungeons filled with switches, shortcuts, and hidden treasure. Combat uses the Linear Motion Battle System: characters fight on a 2D plane, moving, attacking, casting spells, and chaining artes in real time. Progression comes from leveling, equipment upgrades, spell and arte growth, and inventory management.

In battle, keep melee fighters pressuring enemies while spellcasters stay safe and keep casting from range. Save recovery items for bosses and difficult dungeon stretches, and explore every branch of a dungeon for hidden chests and useful materials.
