Spyro the Dragon

The game is played from a third-person 3D perspective across interconnected Homeworlds and self-contained stages. Spyro can charge, breathe fire, glide, and headbash to defeat enemies, activate switches, and break objects. Each level contains gems, dragon eggs, and imprisoned dragons to find, and completion is tied to how much of the stage you uncover. Some areas focus on precise jumping, glide timing, or chase-style set pieces, while others reward thorough exploration.

Spyro

The young dragon protagonist who uses charge, flame breath, and gliding to rescue his friends and defeat Gnasty Gnorc.

Gnasty Gnorc

The main villain who retaliates after being banished, trapping dragons in crystal and stealing the dragon treasure.

Sparx

Spyro’s dragonfly companion who helps indicate health and collects nearby gems.

Search every corner of each stage, especially ledges, side paths, and elevated platforms where hidden gems and dragons are often placed. Use charge to break through enemies or obstacles quickly, then switch to fire for safer long-range attacks when needed. In glide sections, line up the landing spot before jumping and keep your route efficient to avoid missing collectibles. For full completion, clear a world methodically before moving on.

Tips and tricks

• Hidden gems are often tucked away on ledges or behind destructible scenery.
• Stay close to gem lines so Sparx can auto-collect them more reliably.
• Before long glides, face the camera and set your takeoff angle carefully.
