The game is a side-scrolling brawler where players move through linear stages, defeating enemy waves and bosses to advance. Learn the strengths of each spirit form and use them according to enemy spacing. Avoid getting trapped between both sides of the screen, and reposition with jumps when crowds close in. Against bosses, wait for obvious startup animations before committing to offense. Save your strongest options for later sections where enemy pressure increases. In co-op, cover separate lanes to reduce the chance of both players being boxed in.
