The game uses a side-scrolling perspective with one-player action through six stages set in space, industrial bases, and alien environments. The main controls are shooting, a charge attack, and a bomb-like emergency option. Charging the shot unleashes a stronger attack that helps clear swarms or damage bosses quickly. Progress is stage-based, with checkpoints/respawns depending on the version settings, and survival depends on memorizing enemy placement and managing limited lives.

Use the charge shot constantly so you are never waiting to power up when danger appears. Learn enemy spawn points and move early rather than reacting late to bullets. In boss fights, target destructible parts first to reduce pressure, then focus on safe damage windows. Save emergency attacks for situations where escaping a surround or a dense bullet spread is more valuable than dealing damage.
