The game uses single-screen stages with side-view movement. Players run and jump across platforms while firing vertical harpoons or tether shots upward to hit bouncing balls. Large balls split into smaller ones when struck, and every fragment must be removed to clear a stage. Terrain such as steps, narrow ledges, and obstacles changes rebound patterns, so positioning is critical. Power-ups can improve fire rate or provide temporary protection, and two-player co-op allows one player to control space while the other finishes off dangerous fragments.

Joe

One of the main heroes of the series, tasked with destroying the dangerous bouncing bubbles.

Mac

Joe's partner and the second main hero, playable in cooperative mode.

Focus on larger balls in awkward positions first, since their later splits can trap you if left unattended. Always keep an escape lane open instead of chasing the smallest fragments into corners. On multi-platform stages, use elevation changes to manipulate rebound timing and line up safe harpoon shots. In co-op, divide roles so one player manages crowd control while the other clears the smallest pieces and grabs useful items.

• You can keep moving after firing, so attack while repositioning instead of standing still.
• Late-stage tiny balls are the most dangerous; prioritize survival over speed when cleaning up.
