Power characters should look for corner control and throw opportunities, while faster characters should keep spacing tight and punish openings after blocked attacks.

Tips and tricks

• Master defense and punishes first; that is usually more reliable than forcing combos.
• Have an anti-air ready when facing jump-heavy opponents.
• Cornering the opponent makes pressure and throws much more effective.
