Gex: Enter the Gecko

The game uses a third-person 3D platforming perspective. Players explore large hub-like stages, collect required remotes and hidden items, and unlock new areas by meeting progression goals. Gex can run, jump, cling to walls, tail-whip enemies and break objects, or use his tongue to eat smaller creatures. Some stages introduce special movement or underwater segments, so success depends on learning each level's layout, managing camera angles, and gathering enough collectibles to advance.

Search vertically as well as horizontally; many key items are tucked on ledges, walls, or in side routes. Use the tail attack to clear obstacles and handle enemies from a safer distance. If a stage requires a large collectible count, finish the main route first and then backtrack for missed items. In underwater or special sections, move carefully and keep the camera under control to avoid losing orientation.
