The game uses a side-view 2D one-on-one fighting format. Players choose from a roster of fighters and battle through a sequence of opponents using directional inputs plus attack buttons for normal attacks, jumps, throws, and special moves. Progression is based on consecutive matches, and later fights demand better spacing and timing. Character differences in reach, speed, and move priority make zoning, anti-air defense, and punishing mistakes central to winning consistently.

Characters
Ryo Sakazaki
A karate fighter from Japan with a well-rounded move set that makes him approachable for beginners.
Kim Hoon
A Korean taekwondo fighter who relies on strong kicks and solid mid-range pressure.
Magic Dunker
An American fighter with a basketball-themed style, using flashy movement and unusual attacks.
Samson
A power-focused fighter with heavy damage output, balanced by slower movement and attacks.
Strategy
Learn your character’s safest pokes and most reliable special move inputs first. Avoid constant jumping early in a round and instead test the opponent with mid-range normals. Against slower characters, pressure with jump-ins and throws; against faster opponents, avoid unsafe attacks with long recovery. In later arcade matches, rely on simple confirms and knockdown pressure rather than risky, flashy offense.
