The 3rd Super Robot Wars

Battles take place on a top-down grid map where you move units, choose attacks, support actions, and defeat enemy forces to clear objectives. Earned cash and experience are used to level pilots, improve mechs, upgrade weapons, and keep units supplied. Each unit has different movement, range, terrain fit, and spirit commands, so positioning and team composition matter a lot. Story missions advance chapter by chapter and can include reinforcements, branch routes, and special win conditions.

Focus resources on a small number of core units early, especially mobile units with strong damage or self-sustain. Keep long-range attackers behind the front line and use terrain bonuses to reduce incoming damage. Before boss fights, make sure your main units have enough ammo, energy, and spirit points. To minimize losses, chip strong enemies with safer units first, then finish them with your heaviest hitters.

• Pay close attention to weapon range and terrain fit so you do not overextend short-range units.
• Avoid spreading upgrades too thin; building 2 or 3 core units early is usually the safest route.
