Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six

The game uses a first-person perspective and focuses on completing hostage rescues, bomb disposal, and terrorist elimination missions as a squad. Before each operation, players assign teammates, set routes, and define waypoints in the briefing screen. During missions, commands such as move, hold, and breach can be issued while switching between operators. Success depends on controlling sightlines, using cover, and advancing methodically through indoor environments. Objectives and team survival determine mission progress, and poor decisions can quickly end an operation.

Plan the safest route in the briefing phase instead of rushing into combat. Check corners and doorways before breaching, and coordinate squad movement so teammates do not expose themselves alone. In close-quarters fights, control hallways and choke points, and use short bursts rather than sustained fire. For hostage missions, suppress threats first and only then move in for the rescue.

• Spending more time on planning usually saves the mission later.
• Pause before entering rooms to reduce the chance of ambushes.
• Be careful with explosives, since friendly fire can ruin a run.
