Puyo Puyo Box

The game uses a falling-block puzzle system viewed from the front. Players control paired puyos, moving and rotating them as they drop into a 6-column playfield. Matching four or more of the same color clears them, and chained clears send garbage puyos to the opponent. Each included title follows its own rule set, so chain behavior, special items, and single-player modes vary across the compilation. Players can tackle story, versus, training, and challenge-style modes, building efficient layouts and timing chains to outscore or overwhelm rivals.

Keep the bottom of your field flat and avoid scattering colors through the center. Build simple 2-chain or 3-chain patterns first; they are more reliable than forcing huge combos. In versus play, watch the garbage timer and use small chains to survive pressure. Since the compilation includes multiple rule sets, spend time learning how each title handles chains and garbage placement.
