Paperboy

The game uses a third-person follow camera as you control a paperboy riding forward through a set street route. Movement and throwing controls are used to aim newspapers at subscribers' porches, mailboxes, or doorsteps. Each stage usually asks you to deliver a quota of papers while avoiding damage to property and preserving lives. Cars, dogs, trash cans, potholes, and pedestrians appear as obstacles, forcing constant adjustments to speed and lane position. Later stages increase the density of hazards and the precision required for clean deliveries.

Learn the subscriber layout and obstacle patterns first, then focus on safe deliveries. Throw slightly before reaching the target so turning mistakes do not send you into the curb or a hazard. In busy traffic sections, stay a little away from the edge to keep room for evasive movement. If a stage allows repeat passes, use the first run to memorize the route and the second to improve score and consistency.
