Irem Major Title, The

Irem Major Title presents golf from a top-down or angled course view, with the current hole displayed as the player plans each shot. The objective is to complete every hole in as few strokes as possible, using the course layout, hazards, wind direction, and lie of the ball to select an appropriate club and shot strength. Play proceeds hole by hole through an 18-hole round. Players adjust the shot before striking, then follow the ball and continue from its landing position. The game supports one-player golf and same-console two-player competition, with scores tracked against par as the round progresses.

Study the hole layout before selecting a club. A long drive is not always the best choice when a bunker, water hazard, or narrow landing area blocks the direct route to the green. Use shorter, safer shots when the wind or lie makes a full-power stroke unreliable. On approach shots, prioritize leaving the ball on the putting surface rather than chasing maximum distance, and compare the score to par after each hole to identify where risk is costing strokes.
